Electrical Quality Engineer

General Summary
Ensure electrical systems meet quality standards. Perform detailed static and dynamic evaluations of electrical systems, identify concerns, coordinate countermeasures, summarize and present results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review drawings and technical information to understand features and functions, electrical routing, circuitry, and specifics of operational parameters. Investigate root cause of failures, and preferences of operation of various systems. Feedback concerns to responsible groups to establish countermeasures.
- Perform static and dynamic evaluations of electrical features and functions. Document concerns that do not achieve company specification or may not achieve customer expectations.
- Audit assembly processes to identify root causes of known, emerging, or new concerns. Communicate findings directly to responsible persons, work with stakeholders to develop countermeasures, and report findings.
- Collaborate with teams to investigate root causes of quality issues as they arise. Develop effective countermeasures based on investigation outcomes. Provide support in implementing solutions across relevant departments
- Maintain comprehensive records of concerns found during testing and auditing. Regularly update countermeasure data to reflect the latest findings and resolutions. Ensure that all documentation is easily accessible for review by relevant stakeholders.
- Generate detailed reports which identify trends and potential issues. Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover root causes of recurring problems. Distribute findings to relevant departments and assist in addressing requests for further analysis.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably within the automotive industry), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong planning, and organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Analytical problem solving and effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and accomplish priorities within a designated time frame.
- Ability to work calmly and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate well and work well with others.
- Broad understanding of automobile parts, assembly, and design and how these interrelate to the complete car and customer experience is desirable.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Demonstrated experience in program and project management.
- Preferred hands-on experience with vehicle systems, including:
- High Voltage Electrical Systems (EV/Hybrid batteries, chargers, V2L/V2G, HV harnesses/connectors)
- Wiring harnesses and schematic interpretation
- ECU diagnostics and over-the-air flashing
- Radio head units (satellite radio, voice command systems)
- Instrument clusters, sensors, and switches
