General Summary
Execute and implement Quality Audit & Quality Systems activities in alignment with company goals (local and global); ensure Team Members comply with company policies and procedures and develop and maintain the work plan for the Quality Audit & Test Section.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and control practices in safety, human relations, quality, cost, housekeeping, and delivery targets.
- Participate in forecasting and planning as well as reporting KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), driving continuous improvement activities (process, facilities, man, and materials), and communicating any quality problems as appropriate to improve processes.
- Lead KIA GEORGIA in the certification and maintenance of Quality Systems such as ISO9001 and BMS (Business Management System). Develop and implement action plans to continuously improve KIA GEORGIA’s Quality Systems and ISO performance.
- Lead the Customer Audit/QMP team and New Model Launch activities to identify and drive improvement of potential field quality concerns. Ensure the team meets weekly/monthly targets. Communicate Audit results to Mgt. team daily.
- Manage the Quality Monitoring Program (QMP): Prepping, Concern Investigation, Repairs, & Return to distributor. Processing of the Display Units at KIA GEORGIA. (I.e.: Lobby & Show Case Units, VIP Presentation Units) Prepping, Repairs, etc.
- Assist in the selection of new Team Members; responsible for training (including producing training and inspection materials) and development and administering performance assessments.
- Support special projects and support activities related to field quality improvement such as CFT’s and Special Inspections.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in the quality field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry in the vehicle auditing and compliance area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced degree in business management or related fields desired.
- BMS experience and 6 sigma quality training experience desired.
- Experience in leadership or supervisory role.
- Must be able to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and travel domestically and internationally
Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
- Experience with SAP system preferred.
