General Summary

Reclaim warranty expenses from suppliers whose parts are responsible for warranty claims due to repairs/replacement of parts.  Assist in pulling warranty claim costs by part numbers for analyzing and negotiating supplier General Burden Ratios and assignment of Special Burden Ratios based on quality performance.  Verification of campaigns costs and accurate reclaimed amount from suppliers and/or R&D based on assigned campaign responsibility.Reclaim warranty expenses from suppliers whose parts are responsible for warranty claims due to repairs/replacement of parts.  Assist in pulling warranty claim costs by part numbers for analyzing and negotiating supplier General Burden Ratios and assignment of Special Burden Ratios based on quality performance.  Verification of campaigns costs and accurate reclaimed amount from suppliers and/or R&D based on assigned campaign responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze supplier claim cost data to identify responsibility for warranty claims cost to determine warranty cost-sharing ratios through General and Special Burden ratios.
  • Develop business processes identifying trends that enhance improvement of quality and claim cost performance. Provide data to the teams responsible using data analysis to assist teams in driving solutions based on warranty claim cost data.  
  • Develop detailed reports based on data analysis to track costs by responsible parties using warranty claims costs and campaign data.
  • Recommend and report detailed plans, reports and contracts using data analysis for the reclaim process

Qualifications & Job Requirements

•Bachelor of Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field, plus two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in a data-driven analytical role; automotive industry experience preferred
•Proven experience translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and executive decision‑making
•Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, assess, and stabilize existing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and influence stakeholders
•Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models to identify cost recovery gaps and performance weaknesses
•Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters that impact business operations, financial outcomes, and organizational objectives
•Ability to structure ambiguous processes, validate data integrity, and deliver executive‑ready insights
•High attention to detail combined with the ability to identify trends and impacts at a macro level.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

•Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
•Experience using SAP preferred
•Experience developing executive‑level reporting in Power BI preferred
