General Summary
Perform work requirements in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet production and quality needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying the root cause of malfunctioning systems or components by using diagnostic tools and testing procedures.
- Replacing faulty parts, repairing damaged components, and recalibrating systems.
- Assemble or support assembly of components and sub-components by performing any combination of tasks according to specifications and quality requirements in hand-to-hand method of production.
- Perform manual operation of machinery and/or tools such as hand tools, power tools, production tools, material handling equipment, and assembly.
- Comply with and promote company practices in the areas of Safety, Efficiency, Quality, Delivery, and People.
- Understand the “Pull Cord” system and accept responsibility to use it appropriately.
- Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of KIA GEORGIA management to coordinate product flow.
- Understand and follow the KIA WAY and the KIA GEORGIA Production System.
- Attend all required training as assigned.
- Support and encourage a professional Team Member work environment.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with Team Members.
- Interact with others to resolve quality issues; implement repair/containment procedures for repetitive quality defects; notify management and/or affected teams or departments in a timely manner as required.
- Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Job-related experience in a manufacturing / industrial / warehousing / distribution environment preferred.
- Ability to perform physical and exertional tasks and meeting other essential position requirements including social and physical environmental factors.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays, weekends and rotating shifts as required.
