General Summary
Promote the quality system to fulfill the internal and external customer expectations to therefore meet quality targets. Provide advanced quality planning support in the torque development and launch of present and new processes. Support the plant by auditing critical processes to verify critical torques are met in the General Assembly. Prioritization, and reporting of quality concerns. Execute and implement quality activities including quality torque education and training and monitor procedures are within compliance with company goals. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare torque audit plans and reports for torque audit activities
- Collaborate with departments to schedule torque activities to improve overall torque processes
- Maintain a daily schedule of work to be performed with minimal supervision.
- Using proper procedures, methods, and standards, complete critical torque audits, and non-critical torque audits as requested.
- Maintain database for torque auditing in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support quality and production departments with torque requirements related to product and/or processes.
- Drive continuous torque education and improvement activities.
- Inform management of any torque problems related to quality and/or the production line.
- Execute special projects for torque audit support activities.
- Support QA calibration and test labs as required

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or one (1) to three (3) years of progressive experience involving vehicle torque in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess strong technical skills and experience in vehicle auditing, torque requirements and understanding of critical and non-critical torque in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Possess a broad understanding and application of the automotive standards.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and their objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with SAP system preferred.
- Experience with 5-why, root cause analysis, and data analysis is preferred.
- Understanding critical and non-critical torque requirements.
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments: torque wrenches, etc.
- Interpreting specifications, drawings, and customer requirements and developing test methods to meet those requirements is a plus
- Strong computer skills using databases.
