General Summary

 

Financial Analyst – FP&A

 

This role is primarily responsible for supporting the preparation of monthly gross profit reports, including month-end closing activities, forecasting, and business planning, while meticulously reviewing accounting data for accuracy and performing detailed variance analyses.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support timely preparation of accurate financial reports in accordance with IFRS on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Reconcile financial information by collecting and analyzing accounting data
  • Review and analyze financial accruals and make adjustments as necessary
  • Assist with quarterly review and annual audit process
  • Improve accounting process to ensure the best practices in place
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and perform other duties as needed

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial planning role
  • Accounting designation and knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS) and financial analysis techniques
  • Understanding of financial closing processes and financial transaction flows
  • Must be comfortable in dealing with large volume of data and to deliver the results on timely basis consistently
  • Must be capable of automating routine excel exercises
  • Must have proactive work approach
  • Attention to detail with advanced MS office skills such as Power Query
