General Summary
The Specialist, Accessories & Tires Planning is responsible for the ongoing product development and marketing of Kia Accessories and primarily through new vehicle sales. Further, tires lead for both in new vehicle sales (winter tires) and in all replacement tires in the shop.
Understanding the dealership and aftermarket environment, you will play a key role in the development of products that will meet our customer and dealer’s expectations while always adapting to changing market demands. The position has direct impact on significant revenues and profits for After Sales at Kia Canada.
The position will report directly to the Manager, Retail After Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accessories
- Develop and execute an integrated Accessories and Winter Tire strategy across Sales, Service and Parts dealer penetration vehicle sales
- In partnership with Mobis Parts Canada, Kia North America and suppliers, develop and maintain new Accessories in line with customer demand
- Conduct market research to identify product development opportunities, explore Port Install (PIO) opportunities, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Support accessory and tire launch activities, including dealer communications, marketing materials, and program execution support.
Tires
- Partner with national account Tire OEMs to drive replacement tire sales through an ‘always on’ aftermarket tire program.
- Work with Tire distributors to support the Kia dealer network and tire manufacturers to ensure timely supply
- Develop and execute key promotional supports to help dealers activate in-store under ‘Kia Tire Experts.’
- Continuously improve the Kia Accessories & Tire Selling tool, to maximize dealer utilization and sales effectiveness.
- Analyze sales performance to identify trends, profitability opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with KCA internal stakeholders like Sales, Fleet and Product Planning to synchronize efforts leading to new or incremental performance
- Function as Accessories & Tire subject manner expert, supporting field teams and dealer partners on products, programs and pricing.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Requirement
- Minimum 2-3 years related automotive experience
- College/University degree/diploma in business, automotive marketing, or similar discipline
- Strong organizational abilities and proven multi-tasking / multi-project coordination skills
- Proven ability to initiate and improve processes to increase efficiency
- Marketing program development skills
- Excellent vendor management and relationship skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Initiative-taker to initiate and drive improvements
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Bilingualism would be an asset
