General Summary

Under the direction of the Incentive Planning & Analysis Manager, the Incentive Planning Specialist will coordinate the development and distribution of timely and relevant incentives reports and analyses to provide understanding of KUS and competitors’ incentive action and performance. This includes effective use of business intelligence resources and understanding of competitors’ incentive programs.

This position assists in the development, communication, and analysis of incentive program, collaborates closely with Kia Finance America (KFA) on subvented lease and loan programs, provides residual values analysis for competitive segments, and also works on ad hoc reports and support executive presentation as needed.
 
To be successful, the Incentives Planning Specialist must have strong financial analysis skill, able to work with complex pricing models, be familiar with automotive industry data and must be highly capable of collect, screen, organize, and analyze the data effectively and efficiently. This is a key support position that will ensure a timely and accurate incentive reporting and program proposal for KUS executive management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1st Priority - 40%
Competitive Incentives -- Monitor, analyze and report on competitive incentives for assigned brands in all segments where Kia competes including regional variations.  Identify models and markets where KUS actions might be needed.

2nd Priority - 10%
Monthly Incentive Programs -- Assist with KUS Incentive Planning processes including development of incentive programs for approval.

3rd Priority - 15%
KFA Relationship -- Facilitate an efficient and effective working relationship between KUS and KFA including review of bulletins, data feed of offers to KIAs, and analysis of invoice content. Provide management reports on KFA penetration.

4th Priority - 20%
Program Communication -- Communicate programs to Dealers, Regions and Marketing in a timely and accurate manner.   Includes review of program announcements for accuracy, and distribution of program information for dealers, regions and marketing.   

5th Priority - 15%
Support/Ad-hoc -- Provide support to department management and executive staff of Sales and Marketing in all planned and ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications/Education

Education:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent experience. 
  • MBA preferred.

Overall Related Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a corporate environment

Directly Related Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Sales planning or Incentive planning within a corporate setting preferred

Job Requirement

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create various reports and prepare presentations
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Proficiency with SAP and other industry data query tools (MicroStrategy, JD Power PIN Explorer, IHS Polk, Urban Science, Motor Intelligence) is preferred
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation development skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, and SharePoint is preferred

Pay Range

$67,927  ~  $91,147

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
