General Summary

The National Manager of Marketing Media and Analytics will lead our media strategy, digital marketing, social media, and marketing analytics efforts. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the Kia brand’s presence across all media channels, driving innovation, and ensuring our strategies effectively engage and convert target audiences.

Responsible for leading end-to-end media strategy, planning, and execution across national and dealer marketing efforts, with a focus on driving brand health, vehicle sales, and ROI. This role oversees digital, social, and traditional media, leveraging first-party data, advanced analytics tools, and performance dashboards to optimize media effectiveness. Collaborates cross-functionally to integrate data-driven insights into campaign planning, enabling continuous improvement, audience targeting, and innovation in media execution at a national scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1st Priority - 35%

Media Strategy and Planning: Lead media planning development from initial segment/product/customer analysis to product positioning, Media strategy and mix; includes coordination and communication w/ all agency partners. This role is responsible for considering the overall business perspective, ensuring decisions are not solely driven by individual campaigns.

2nd Priority - 25%

Digital Marketing and Social Media: Lead development and execution of KUS digital and social media strategies; oversee development and delivery of digital and social creative.

3rd Priority - 20%

Data Science: Lead internal teams and external agency partners to optimize the use and impact of Google Marketing Platform (GMP), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Sprinklr and emerging data platforms to improve data quality, enhance campaign monitoring & optimization, and increase audience targeting in support of automation and personalization

4th Priority - 20%

Measurement and Reporting: Partner with KUS and Kia North America (Kia NA) analytics team members and agency partners to deliver consistent, actionable reporting on media performance. Ensure KPIs and targets are clearly set prior to campaign deployment to enable thorough reporting and timely optimization recommendations. This role is responsible for analyzing consumer behavior based on overall marketing data and providing support to leaders in making data-driven decisions

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. 
  • Masters or equivalent work experience preferred.

Job Requirement

Overall Related Experience:

  • 10-15 years of professional experience, including:
    • 8-10 years client or agency side experience, with mix of relevant experience within media strategy/planning, digital marketing, social media, performance marketing, and data science
    • 5+ years of direct experience in media/marketing data strategy or analytics
    • 5+ years of experience in an in-house (advertiser-side) marketing team
    • 5+ years of direct people management experience
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a data-driven mindset, and the leadership skills to drive impactful campaigns that elevate our brand and engage our consumers.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience leading with collaboration, empathy and excellent communication skills to inspire and lead a team of KUS Marketing professionals and agency partners.

Directly Related Experience:

  • Proven leadership over media performance strategy, campaign optimization, and audience segmentation using 1st-party behavioral data
  • Hands-on familiarity with tools such as GA4, DV360, Campaign Manager, BigQuery, CDPs, and CRM systems
  • Experience managing media at a U.S. national scale
  • Comprehensive understanding of various media channels including broadcast, streaming, digital, social, print, radio and OOH
  • Strong working knowledge of Digital, Mobile and Social Media advertising mechanisms and processes. 
  • Proven track record of leading large omnichannel media campaigns and driving measurable results
  • Budget management experience

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.

  • Proficient in marketing analytics and reporting tools, including Google Marketing Platform (GMP), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Sprinklr, and other digital marketing solutions.
  • Skilled in leveraging data and insights to drive campaign optimization and improve marketing performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Pay Range

$143,962 ~ $214,979 

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
