General Summary
Develop and lead dealer profitability performance reporting, analysis, and improvement initiatives for Kia America (KUS). Primary responsibilities include development and support of the Kia Business Management system and dealership financial statement reporting. Responsible for ongoing financial analysis of Dealer performance, including development of composite and trend data, as well as development and execution of dealer profitability improvement initiatives across the network.
Additionally, the Sr. Business Management Manager is responsible for managing the Dealer Improvement Initiative (DII) and Performance Monitoring Program (PMP), including implementation, tracking, and performance monitoring in coordination with Regional teams and legal department as appropriate. Sr. Business Management Manager will also manage the Retail Development department annual operating budget with associated reporting, dealer billing, requisitions, vendor payment and program tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1st Priority - 40%
KBMS Business Management System and Reporting
- Manage the Kia business management system (KBMS) and enhancements to ensure user optimization, functionality and business management reporting/analysis effectiveness.
- Establish and apply business management guidelines and annual business plan for use by Kia Dealers and Field managers to monitor and improve retail performance.
- Regularly perform dealership financial analysis and produce monthly trend and composite reports for Executive and Field use.
- Act as the subject matter expert for corporate and Dealer use of system, financial statement reporting and dealer accounting manual. Maintain account access and authorized data access for KUS and all affiliates and vendors.
2nd Priority - 20%
Financial Statement and Operating Standards
- Manage Kia Financial Statement, Accounting Manual, Operating Standards and KPI business metrics.
- Conduct cross-departmental reviews, as necessary to ensure that financial statement reflects current corporate initiatives, vehicle models, and programs.
- Offer actionable business insights and recommendations to improve dealer profitability and return on sales.
- Oversee and manage minority dealer financial performance.
3rd Priority - 20%
Dealer Improvement Initiative/Performance Monitoring Program
- Manage Dealer Improvement Initiative (DII) and Performance Monitoring Program (PMP) as the corporate liaison for Regional teams and Legal department.
4th Priority - 10%
Budget Management / Ad Hoc Reporting
- Manage department budget annual plan.
- Reconcile and report budget anomalies/issues monthly.
- Prepare ad hoc executive presentations and special reporting.
- Manage NADA Dealer Attitude Survey process acting as day-to-day contact with NADA.
5th Priority - 5%
Framework Agreement Oversight and Management
- Oversee dealer Framework Agreements, including preparing and publishing performance and status reports.
- Manage dealer group reporting and analysis.
6th Priority - 5%
Business Management/KBMS Training
- Develop and deliver Business Management/KBMS training to maximize usage and efficiency at corporate and field levels.
Qualifications/Education
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business administration/analytics, accounting, or finance.
Job Requirement
Overall Related Experience:
- 5-8 years of automotive experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a field OEM or retail dealership role.
- Minimum 2 years working in a financial analytical and reporting capacity.
Directly Related Experience:
- Business management, training, database and vendor relations experience required with a strong customer focus
Position Requirements:
- Occasional travel may be required, though position is primarily Corporate-office based.
- May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range
$105,533.00 ~ $146,709
Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
