General Summary

The Senior Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing the comprehensive, multi-million-dollar Regional Marketing Stimulation Funds (RMSF), incentives and contests, and Tier-3 initiatives.  This position is the lead by and between the Regions, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Sales Operations.

 

This individual will work with all Regions to strategically align marketing spend to company and business priorities.  His/her responsibilities are to oversee network alignment of RMSF utilization with sales targets, inventory, and incentives.  This position will oversee spending and ROI, as well as lead the approval process, budget allocation and tracking, programming, performance monitoring, and payments.

 

This position is responsible for identifying market and model opportunities and coordinating effective sales programs between National and the Regions to maximize sales volume growth and return.  The individual will establish and validate all KPI targets and will monitor and report-out on progress to executive management.  He/she will also study and conduct research covering key areas of Dealer and Regional performance for and with Field Managers, supporting Regional and Dealership operations.

 

The Senior Sales Operations Manager will also oversee the business development and strategic efforts of Kia’s Dealer network charging readiness and EV capacity to optimize EV/HEV sales growth.

 

This position is the main point of contact for tactical and strategic EV business and operations as it relates to Kia Dealers, acting as an authoritative representative for Sales Operations as the role interacts with executive management and various channels across KUS, KNA, KHQ, and the Kia Washington DC Office.

 

This role will lead Dealer EV charging readiness relative to Kia’s mobility and sustainability strategies, including charging performance, certification, and consultation, and will be responsible for coordination on compliance with appropriate parties as well as the research and analysis of the competitive landscape by understanding and communicating new business models, opportunities, and threats.

 

This position will be responsible for aligning with executive leadership on strategic initiatives across Divisions and Regions.  It will lead all network-related initiatives including charging, vendor management, training, sustainability, current and future program compliance, as well as strategic partnerships planning and oversight.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1st Priority - 35%

Oversee Regional Marketing Stimulation Funds
•    Manage approximately $20Mil annual RMSF program
•    Provide direction to the Regions on priorities and programs
•    Oversee budget utilization, spend efficiencies, and ROI
•    Ensure Regions operate within approved guidelines, providing ongoing coaching and direction
•    Oversee the approval process, coordinating with Finance to ensure programs are executed in a timely manner
•    Track, audit, and recap budget monthly

 

2nd Priority - 20%

Evaluate Dealer and Market EV readiness and capacity to promote EV/HEV sales growth
•    Identify areas of opportunity to grow EV/HEV business by Region and Market, recommend actions and priorities, oversee progress
•    Travel to Dealers and Markets to consult, inspect, and evaluate EV market readiness and capacity in the field
•    Collaborate with Regional leadership on market opportunities
•    Understand and advise management on state and local EV incentive programs to support Field and Dealer operations
•    Analyze and provide feedback on all initiatives

 

3rd Priority - 15%

Oversee network charging performance and compliance
•    Ensure all Kia Dealerships are well-prepared to sell electric vehicles and support the EV customer experience
•    Participate and oversee development of EV and energy infrastructure partnerships
•    Oversee vendor(s) to maintain and ensure chargers at dealerships remain operational
•    Oversee and audit EV charging infrastructure across the network, based on prescribed milestones and compliance criteria established

 

4th Priority - 15%

Promote Dealer and Regional operations
•    Develop and lead initiatives  
•    Lead activities in support of the Field as assigned   

 

5th Priority - 15%

Program and vendor oversight
•    Lead program direction and vendor oversight
•    Manage budgets, miscellaneous programs, and projects as directed by executive management

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

Job Requirement

Overall Related Experience:

  • 7+ years’ automotive experience, ideally in Sales, Operations, Marketing, Corporate Strategy, or Consulting
  • 1-2 years’ experience in strategic program development, vendor management, and/or project management/oversight
  • Strong understanding of the EV/mobility and sustainability space preferred

 

Position Requirements:

  • Travel may be required
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays

Pay Range

$105,533.00 ~$146,709.00

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
